MIAB to speak on the Indemnity Crisis at the 'Making STPs a Reality' event
MIAB Director, Tristan Lennox-Gentle, will be speaking on the 'indemnity crisis' at the upcoming 'Making STPs a Reality' event.
Exploring whether the indemnity crisis has been solved or only just beginning, Tristan's presentation will discuss Jeremy Hunt's announcement at the RCGP annual conference, where he rolled-out a state -backed indemnity scheme for primary care, and what this means for practices when considering indemnity solutions.
Driving better healthcare services
Taking place on October 24 at the Royal Garden Hotel, London, 'Making STPs a reality: Action to Deliver Better Care' is being organised in partnership with Blue Stream Academy to help organisations drive better quality and more sustainable health care services, and explore how to collaborate in order to deliver improved population health and wellbeing.
Every health and care system in England has been tasked with implementing a multi-year Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP). STPs will become the single application and approval process for accessing NHS transformation funding, with the best plans receiving funding allocations first. Getting the approach right to local plans is key to making the vision a reality, ensuring changes drive better health outcomes, better patient care and sustainable transformation in service delivery.
Insurance and indemnity will play a crucial part in the management and delivery of health care contracts under STPs so Tristan's session is a 'must-attend'. Tristan will be speaking at 10:15 and available to answer queries throughout the day.
Tristan joined MIAB in 2011 as a Commercial Surgery Insurance Account Manager, bringing the experience he gained from a similar role within the medical insurance sector. With over eight years of industry experience Tristan worked his way up to Director and as part of his role, now assumes overall responsibility for both the internal training and insurer relations at MIAB. As a consequence, Tristan has gained a detailed holistic knowledge and understanding of the malpractice marketplace and is ideally positioned to explain the intricacies and technical approaches of this class of business.
